Local Resident is Labour Candidate for Kelsey & Eden Park By-election

Beckenham Labour

Dr Marie Bardsley has a long history in Kelsey & Eden Park where her family have lived for over 40 years.

Marie has a background in reducing youth crime and gang violence strategies. She has focused on emerging youth issues in the ward. She argues that better funding of Youth Services by Bromley Council is key to resolving some of the problems.

Marie’s own experience of road safety has made her a committed campaigner on safer traffic. Her mother, a Kelsey & Eden Park resident, had mobility issues and was unable to cross the road to go her local shops. Marie has spear-headed Labour’s campaign for road safety in the ward.

As a local resident, Marie has regularly raised the issue of street cleaning and holding the contractors to account.

Marie is well know to local residents as a campaigning candidate, having come closer than any other candidate in beating the Tories locally during the council elections in May this year. Unlike the present Tory councillors, Marie will hold surgeries to hear the views of residents.

Marie has a track record on fighting issues that effect local people and their families and will continue to get the best for Kelsey and Eden Park in the Council Chamber.

Vote for Marie Bardsley at the by-election on 29th November 2018.
